Many of you may know that as you progress through the interior design program that you will learn SketchUp, which is an easy to use but powerful 3D modeling program. Technology is constantly evolving and changing and it is imperative you as a future designer keep up. It is important to note that just because you take a class in college does not make you an expert, the programs are constantly evolving and new features and tricks are added all the time.  One of the blogs that I frequent for tips and tricks is actually a wood working blog that advocates sketchUp in the industry! Tim Killen over at Fine Wood Working is a master at creating realistic, scaled and very detailed furniture. His blog contains a plethora of resources and he just recently published an ebook that you can purchase. I hope that all of you will take the time to check out his sight and possibly his ebook as I think it can benefit you all.
